Post Rest In Peace Victims of 9/11

Here are some shocking numbers:
  • 2,974 people died in the attacks. Not including the 19 hijackers.
  • 24 are missing and presumed dead.
  • casualties included nationals of over 90 different countries.
  • 6,291+ people were injured as a result of the attacks.
The Fatalities:
  • All 264 passengers on the hijacked planes, died.
  • 2,603 people in the twin towers died
  • 125 people in the Pentagon died
  • 1,366 people died who were at or above the floors of impact in the North Tower.
  • 600 people were killed instantly or were trapped at or above the floors of impact in the South Tower.
  • 200 people jumped to their deaths from the burning towers
  • 411 emergency workers who responded to the scene died as they attempted to implement rescue and fire suppression efforts
It has been reported that nearly 18,000 people were in the twin towers at the time of the attack. Most people below the impact zones were safely evacuated.

Facts and figures aside.....the number of people who have been effected by the attacks continues to grow daily, friends, sisters, brothers, mothers and fathers, new born babies, sons and daughters, grandparents, aunties, uncles.....

the list is endless. and will never stop growing.
