Windows 98 did that too me far too often. I hated that OS. Last time I installed it, it BSOD on me at least 5 times within an hour or so. Besides Windows 7 isn't even final yet. I'll wait til its final to really judge it.

I know a couple of people who are using windows 7 and its already better than xp performance wise.

really? im interested in what its likeetbh, more interested in it then vista....however, they didnt seem fully prepared when they launched vista and things are even 100% now, so goodness know what will happen with another OS

well I prefer vista over XP now, I find it to be alot nicer, smoother and more capable (specifically networking-wise)

I havent had the balls to try windows 7 yet.
